Welcome to EMLEY FIRST SCHOOL these are our SCHOOL AIMS & INTENTIONS
School Motto: Flourishing Together
Mission Statement: Learning and growing together with kindness, confidence and high aspirations
Intent: Our intention at Emley First School is for every child:
- to have access to a curriculum that is broad, balanced, relevant and takes into account our rural setting, that provides life skills and a wealth of age appropriate knowledge that is transferable, preparing them for the next stage of their life’s journey
- to always believe in themselves, to be confident and resilient, aspire to do their best with high expectations enabling them to achieve their individual potential and be proud of themselves and their achievements
- to be happy and contented with who they are, be able to congratulate others when they achieve and remain respectful of others opinions and beliefs
- to be active, curious learners who are able to take risks and persevere when things get tough
- to have staff who are ambitious for themselves and for the children, who create environments which enable all children to maximise their full potential

Road Safety Song
Here is our Road Safety Song all about parking safely round school. We performed this to PC Caroline Newsome and parish councillors. It is part of a project initiated by councillors Paula Kemp and Janet Depledge, that has received the backing of both the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and West Yorkshire Police.
