Paddington Bear

In English we have been reading Paddington. We wrote character descriptions, sequenced the story and put ourselves into Paddington's shoes to write our own stories. We then wrote instructions to make marmalade sandwiches - delicious!

Ruby class are so proud of their Paddington stories. Some of the children wrote 5 pages! Wow!

Year 1 Weighing

Year 1 children have been busy weighing objects in the classroom using key words such as: heavier, lighter, weighs the same as, estimate. They used cubes to measure the mass of these items. 

Year 2 Continents and Oceans

The Year 2 children created their own mini paper plate globes to help remember the 7 continents and 5 oceans.

Chicks!

Ruby class were very lucky to have 3 little chicks visit this week. Look how cute they are! We were able to gently stroke them and find out some interesting facts from their owner PW.

Science - Shadows

This week in Outdoor Learning/ Science we were investigating how shadows change at different times of the day. Although the sun was in, then out, we found that our shadows changed fairly often.
